S.A.F.S. SUPER PROWLER (01)

This is a SAFS Super Prowler made from the Wave Fireball SG and Fire Orange conversion kit. Did you know that this little kit is composed of more than a 100 pieces? Crazy! The kit was sitting on my shelf already for too long, last night I managed to pick it up and started weathering. Final pictures very soon!

Found this kit lately...

You get over 300 bits and pieces for about 20 bucks and it gives you quite a bunch of framework details, pipes and other mech stuff...

Maybe for building a Falke trailer or a Steampunk Neuspotter? ;)

How to add a bulge without damaging surrounding details:

Masking tape will safely protect delicate surface details...

The donor part can be reshaped with putty now...

Tamiya basic putty helps filling gaps and unwanted panel lines...

Sanding BEFORE removing tape...

And the final result, after "rescribing" panel lines...
