HOMO FERRATUS - by makadi3000

I'm a designer currently living and working in Zurich, right in the middle of Europe. This blog is about my original toy work and hobby interests. I dedicate it to Japanese artist Kow Yokoyama, creator of the Maschinen Krieger universe, which has always been a teacher and source of inspiration to me, as he is for many contemporary concept artists and illustrators of the 21st century.

Thanks for looking! - Adi D'Agostino aka makadi3000

CAMEL (02)

Part 2: The Body

Don't forget to add the spheric part and to paint the inside before glueing the body ;) I modified the guard plate to get the right position of the engine bell and guide arm...

than carefully puttying and smoothing this beautiful piece of design! I bought a scribing tool for re-trace the panel lines of the body and decided to go with my own interpretation of some 'vague' sections of the original design.

I didn't like how the junction section was arranged originally and went for a slightly fifferent assembly.

All details and extra parts from the 1/35 Gepard has been added to the body... that was fun! :)

I fitted the cockpit-suspensions with sleeves (from Matilda) for easy spring attachment and closed the back side with a PE disc...

The cables will be plugged into the middle section by use of a magnet, polycaps will keep the cockpit movable and detachable.
