1-HOUR-PROJECT (The Award)

Well, I hope I'm not going to scare anybody with this. Actually it's supposed to attract more contest participant ;)

Anyway, I think that every contest needs its own award, and so I tried to do something award-ish over the weekend. It's not meant too serious, but I wanted to keep it expressive and within the artistic attitude of the sculpture.

As I'm definitely not a sculptor I just used a "Thinker" souvenir as main donor kit. The award shows the futuristic evolution of a human being becoming a machine! In a word ... a homo-ferratus. Mwuahahahaha!

S.A.F.S. MOONDOG (01)

I started almost without a plan on this new suit design, as you can see by use of a Dorvack NOVE body. I wanted an aggressive and dynamic look, I beefed-up the legs and backpack and played a bit with proportions. However, the design still needs time to mature. I have a bunch of work-in-progress pics for you - Enjoy and get inspired! ;)

1-HOUR-PROJECT (Masa's Entry)

What an amazing surprise, when I checked Masa's blog sunday morning! The first entry to the 1-hour project contest has been done by honored Mr. Masayuki "Masa" Fujii from Nutrocker blog! An absolutely impressive preparation and dedication has exceed all my expectations. His documentation allows a very close insight into the world of fare living Ma.K friend Masa and shows a beautiful making-of of his ChickenBall diorama. The movie is very originally and enjoyable, and gave me enormous pleasure! Big thanks also to his daughter for the lovely camera work! The very refreshing and absolutely stunning report can be seen here!

1-HOUR-PROJECT (BLOG CONTEST)

How about building a Maschinen Krieger kitbash model in one hour !?

I built mine after dreaming of a remote control able to breathe life into all our static scale models... how would that be !? Crazy, I know :)

Now, I invite you all to send me your personal 1-hour-project!

Rule No. 1: You must use 1 Ping Pong ball!
Rule No. 2: You must build it within 1 hour!
Rule No. 3: Don't cheat, watch the time! ;)

Deadline is 1. December 2008.
All contributions will be posted here on 2. December 2008.
Winner announcement is on Christmas Day (25th).

How to enter:
All you have to do for submission is to send me an email including your name, the project's name if available, your favorit picture and a link (optional) to your website, blog, forum, youtube, or whatever you got for background information about your 1-hour-project challenge.

One more thing about the contest rules:
I've been asked if preparation of the sprues and spare parts can be done outside of the 1 hour limit and I decided that it is ok to frame the creativ work beforehand and do the hard work in 1 hour. This means building and painting, also decals or diorama work if planned. However, it is up to you what concept you want to follow. If you like to surprise yourself with an unpredictable design, just open the spares bin at the countdown!
